Am I chivalrous or sexist?
I want my kids to have a stay at home parent. I do not have to be the bread-winner, but in this case I am. if my lovely wife made the same or more I would stay at home. It is not that she cannot earn as much as me, and I agree that men can make more easier because of society. Still is that reason enough for her to go to a job she does not like. And the way we work it is she is at home when I am at work. and she works when I am home. This gives the girls A parent at all times, but leave little time for us.
Yes I would love to support her and have the Leave it to Beaver family. How ever I would give up all for her to be Del (could be wrong on his name) and I would take the role of June. I can work a vacuum, dishwasher and iron. I can cook too, I also prefer to. I have a rare position in life. We can afford to live on my income. yes it would be a few gadgets less. fewer dinners out. But what it would give our girls/family?
And no I am not that old to have seen Leave it to Beaver when it came out. I am only 36.
